Nicholas Brausch helps buyers, sellers, lenders, and investors across Greenville, Mauldin, and Simpsonville move through real estate transactions cleanly and on schedule. He joined Babb, Bixler & Dollar LLC in August 2026, bringing several years of closing and title experience to the firm’s residential and commercial real estate practice. Originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, Nicholas has family ties to South Carolina that reach back to before the Revolutionary War and he has built his entire legal career in the state.
EXPERIENCE
Nicholas began practicing in 2019 and has concentrated on real estate law since 2020. Most recently, he served as an Associate Attorney at De Bruin Law Firm in Greenville, where he guided homebuyers and investors through commercial and residential property transactions.
His earlier experience includes work as an Associate Attorney focused on real estate at Nelson Galbreath, LLC; as a Closing Attorney at McDonnell and Associates, P.A.; and as a Plaintiff’s Attorney at Query Sautter & Associates. During law school, he clerked for McDonald, McKenzie, Rubin, Miller & Lybrand LLP in Columbia.
Nicholas was recognized in the 2024 Legal Elite.
CURRENT FOCUS AT BABB, BIXLER & DOLLAR LLC
Nicholas concentrates his practice on:
- Residential real estate closings — purchases, sales, and refinances
- Commercial transactions and investment property acquisitions
- Title review, title curative work, and clearing defects before closing
- Contract review and preparation for buyers and sellers
- Property matters that intersect with the firm’s estate planning, probate, and litigation work
He works closely with the firm’s long-standing closing team and its lender, realtor, and title underwriter relationships throughout the Upstate.

PERSONAL
Outside of the office, Nicholas is a photographer, traveler, hiker, and runner. He shares his home with two cats, Rook and Rooster, and a dog named Rufous, whom he found as a stray.
